Movement Liberation Fall Online Retreat
An online weekend retreat for all self-identified Black, Indigenous, People of Color
Saturday, October 17th
Sunday, October 18th, 2020
WHAT: As BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), we rarely get a chance to breathe, move, play, rest, or dream together. On this weekend retreat, supported by the wisdom and purity of the natural world, we will do just that.
We will co-create a safe space where participants are invited to:
• EXPLORE alone and together through free form movement, facilitated inquiries, eclectic music, stillness, and silence.
• PRACTICE cultivating presence and spontaneous expression in a judgement-free environment where “it’s not about how it looks, it’s about how it feels.”
• LEARN somatic tools that expand our capacity to embody the wisdom or our ancestors.
• EXPERIENCE feeling alive and at home in our bodies.
• GROW new seeds of resilience and weave a fabric of new possibilities.
ALL ARE WELCOME… beginners and dance devotees. All ages and all genders are encouraged to attend.
Participants will be required to attend the entire duration of the workshop. NO late arrivals, early departures, or partial attendance.
